Hi Jim and Jim, I'm have to use something not.Net based because messages will have to be send before a.NET framework is installed on the clients and it also has to run on Windows Server 2008 core. C is not allowed by the customer, VB 6.0 requires a runtime, so VBS seems the best option. How To Run Opengl Programs In Turbo C. (unless someone comes with a better alternative ) For VBS base SMS messages I found a reference in the SCCM SDK 4.0 to the SMSEvent class in smscore.dll. The documentation is rather rudimentary, so an example would have helped. Thanks, Peter. Hello, I'm also interested in this topic. You suggested to SMS_StatusMessage class, so I'm wondering the following things With the SMS_StatusMessage class I need to pass a lot of information that from a client point of view could be useless As an example of my request immagine a lot of programs of task sequence for every task I need to send an information back about what's going on.

If I do it via SMSEvent message I can avoid passing a lot of parameters like MP name/Username/Pwd (and also up-today I was not able to pass the description of my status message), while using the SMSEvent class I would forward the the status message to SCCM Client that would speak (transparently ) with its MP. So at the end what I cannot understand is why the SDK contains part of the documentation about this class that without essentials information cannot be used? I've searched over the internet, but I did not find anything, it would be so very helpful have more information (at least here in the forum) and a real example. Hi Ignazio, The SMSEvent class documentation was not significantly updated in this release of the SDK. The SMSEvent class has been documented for many years in previous versions of the SDK (with little feedback or comment), so additional work was prioritized low relative to work on the new feature areas in ConfigMgr.

Thanks for providing your feedback and your scenario. This type of comment helps us prioritize our work on the SDK. Obviously, we'd rather work on areas of the product/SDK that folks are using. Jim Bradbury.
